How it began
+SocialGood was inspired by the Social Good Summit, a global conference examining the impact of technology and new media on social good initiatives around the world. In September 2012, the Social Good Summit conversation united people around the world under one idea and hashtag. Meetups took place from Nigeria to India to Brazil, bringing people together to discuss how innovation and technology could create lasting change. The conversation was clearly just beginning, and +SocialGood was born.
Connecting People, Ideas, and Movements to the United Nations
+SocialGood works with the United Nations Foundation to connect people across geographic and sectoral borders with the work and mission of the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals agenda. Through online and offline conversations, the community works to contextualize global messaging and inspire local SDG solutions.
